You can upgrade/downgrade between any of the plans at any time.
Pricing/Payment
This is the price you pay per calendar month. So if you sign up on 15th of this month, your subscription will need to be renewed on the 15th of next month. Renewal of subscriptions is automatic – when you sign up for a paid account, we ask you for you credit or debit card details. Payment is processed through our secure subscription payment management service PayPal – you do not need a PayPal account to use this (although you can if you do) – you can use most debit/credit cards.
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. If you upgrade, we will refund to you the amount of credit remaining against your current month’s subscription on your current plan. It’s a manual process for us at the moment, but we will refund your remaining credit within 3 working days, and we’ll be upgrading our payment systems soon, to automate this process. If you are downgrading, your plan is held at its current level until the end of your current subscription month, at which point you are charged at the lower downgraded rate. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds of unused portions of subscription payments in this case.
There is no contract, and you can terminate your plan at any time. Unfortunately we cannot refund any unused payments for the current month.

We know that sometimes using the free plan isn’t enough, so if you upgrade to a paid plan, and decide it’s not for you within one month of subscription, we will refund your first subscription in full.
File Storage
You can upload/attach files to a project or a contact so they can be easily accessed by any of your users. The total storage limits are set per plan – if you need more you will need to upgrade to a higher plan.
Number of Projects
A project in Mother is either a “lead” (some type of potential sale), an “opportunity” (something with more information or that has been quoted) or a “job” (agreed and being actively worked on). These types of project count towards the maximum project number (where applicable) under your plan.
You can also have “lost” projects (quote has been declined), “deferred” projects (ones that aren’t going anywhere now but you might want to refer to later), and “archived” projects (like deleted, except they are held until you actually want to delete them). These types of project DO NOT count towards your allowed number of projects.
If you wanted to downgrade your plan to one with a lower number of allowed projects, you would need to remove some from your list of active projects first.
Number of Users
When you sign up for an account, that account is in your name – you are the account owner. You can invite other people to collaborate on your projects, giving them access only to the things you want them to see, up to the maximum allowed under your plan. If you wanted to downgrade your plan to one with a lower number of allowed users, you would need to remove some from your account first.

FREE DATA MIGRATION SERVICE
You can easily import your companies and contacts using the CSV import function on the Account Settings page. However, if you need help with this, or if you need large numbers of projects or invoices importing from another system, if you subscribe to the Business Plan or above, we’ll do this for you free of charge – just send us your CSV, XLS, XML, or any other structured data format.
